A Second Thought · Effective date: October 2, 2026
A Second Thought (the "App") is developed and published by Héctor Pedro Toledo, an independent developer based in Montevideo, Uruguay ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the App, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
The following content is created by you and saved locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage: your goal and the reason behind it; journal entries, including text, optional tags and optional photos; progress photos and their phrases; motivational phrases, images and videos you save; reminder texts and times; and app preferences such as appearance and layout. If you enable the app lock, your PIN or password is stored in the device's secure Keychain.
This content is never transmitted to us. It may be included in your device backups (for example, iCloud Backup) according to your own Apple settings, which are governed by Apple's terms and privacy policy, not by us.
You can grant, deny or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings. Some features will not work without them.
Apple. Purchases, payments, free trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple's processing is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.
RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to verify purchases and determine whether your subscription is active. To do this, the RevenueCat software in the App processes a random anonymous identifier created for your installation, your purchase and subscription history and status, and technical information needed to validate purchases (such as app version, operating system version, device type, country or App Store storefront, language and IP address). Through RevenueCat we can see subscription and purchase information associated with that anonymous identifier, but not your name, email or the content you create in the App. RevenueCat's processing is governed by its Privacy Policy: revenuecat.com/privacy.
You may choose to record information related to your body, eating habits, weight or wellbeing. This information stays on your device and is not received by us. The App is a personal journaling and motivation tool; it is not a medical device or a health service.
Where data protection laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, purchase-related information is processed to perform the contract you enter into when you subscribe, to comply with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting rules applicable to Apple and RevenueCat), and for legitimate interests such as preventing fraud and verifying purchases. Device permissions are used only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in your device's Settings.
Content stored on your device remains there until you delete it in the App or delete the App. Deleting the App removes its data from the device, but copies may remain in device backups you control. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are retained according to their own policies and applicable legal requirements.
Your content is protected by your device's security and data protection features, and you can add an app lock with a PIN or password. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, passcode, Apple ID and backups secure.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR, UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Brazil's LGPD or Uruguay's Law No. 18.331 on Personal Data Protection), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because the content you create is stored only on your device, you can view, edit and delete it directly in the App at any time. For purchase-related information processed through RevenueCat, contact us using the details below; because we do not know your identity, we may ask for information that allows us to locate the relevant records (such as an App Store order ID). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Uruguay, the Unidad Reguladora y de Control de Datos Personales).
Apple and RevenueCat may process information in the United States and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country. These providers apply their own safeguards, as described in their privacy policies.
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required by the law of your country to consent to the processing of personal data. We do not knowingly process personal information from children. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use the App only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to inform you. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the updated policy.
